5.3 Building Automation (GA)

The Building Automation Division sees itself as an infrastructural service provider and operational support instance.

Subject Areas

Building Automation consists of the specialist groups of building control technology, security technology, the Network Operation Center and measurement and control technology.

Together with the building automation system, the building management system ensures that energy consumption is reduced and resources are used sensibly and in a targeted manner.

Safety Technology (ST)

As a company certified in all service phases, Sicherheitstechnik ensures the mandatory technical fire protection at all times.

Kabel IT

Network Operation Center (NOC)

The Network Operation Center looks after the university's internal computer network and the university's connection to the information superhighway.

Measurement-Control-Regulation (MSR)

Measurement-Control-Regulation is responsible for all actuators and sensors in the operational systems at Ruhr University Bochum.
