Project
Student Health Management is part of the development of health-promoting study conditions at Ruhr University Bochum.
The aim is to systematically record and network existing health-related offers and to align them more closely with the actual needs of students.
The plan is to set up a platform that bundles existing services, provides orientation and facilitates access. In particular, students in stressful situations should be able to find suitable support more quickly.
Workshops and focus group interviews will be held to further develop the platform in line with requirements. This will ensure student participation right from the start. A special focus is placed on groups with increased burdens, such as international students, students with disabilities or care responsibilities.
The Student Health Management sees itself as a structural development process. It strengthens cross-departmental cooperation and contributes to quality assurance, the promotion of equal opportunities and diversity as well as the sustainable safeguarding of the ability to study.
The SGM will initially run until October 2028 and is funded by Techniker Krankenkasse. The project funding enables a systematic analysis of existing structures as well as their development in order to fit the needs of the students.
Student Health Management is being developed in close cooperation with key players at RUB, including University Sports, AStA, University Communications and other institutions and projects.
The aim is to exploit synergies and strengthen health-promoting structures in the long term. In the long term, the SGM will be permanently anchored in the structures of Ruhr University Bochum.
