Display and Poster Spaces
Posters on Campus and in the Buildings of Ruhr University Bochum
For fire safety reasons, posters may only be displayed in the public poster display cases in the buildings of Ruhr University Bochum. These are not locked and are available in all rows of buildings and in facilities on the central axis. The exact locations can be found on the campus map “Locations of poster display cases”.
Posters on the outside of the campus are only permitted in the designated poster areas, partly due to the protection of historical monuments. The exact locations can be found on the campus map “Locations of billposting areas”.
Depending on the number of posters, the display cases are emptied regularly and the posters are removed from the poster sites accordingly. However, there are no scheduled disposal times, so that no statements can be made about the actual duration of posters. Exclusivity or special regulations for certain posters are not granted. Removed posters are disposed of and cannot be reclaimed.
The display cases and poster spaces are primarily intended to serve the communication needs of university matters. For this reason, commercial posters are not permitted in the display cases. Ruhr University Bochum reserves the right to prosecute unlawful posters and to charge any disposal and cleaning costs to the external perpetrator.
