Rooms Available on the RUB Campus

There are numerous lecture halls and seminar rooms of various sizes and with different facilities available on the Ruhr University Bochum campus.

Hörsaalzentrum Ost (HZO)

The lecture hall center "Hörsaalzentrum Ost" (HZO), for example, offers ten lecture halls with modern equipment for 100 to 850 people each.

The impressive kinetic glass window by the artist Victor Vasarely, one of the university's numerous "art in architecture" objects, is particularly striking.

  • Permanently installed projector and sound system

Seminar Rooms

  • All rooms are equipped with tables and chairs.
  • Larger rooms have a media desk or trolley.
  • Smaller rooms have a permanently installed projector, loudspeakers and a laptop connection.

Usage & Times

The lecture halls and seminar rooms can be booked from Monday to Friday. Usage at the weekend is not possible.

User Fees

All usage fees are charged per day, plus VAT

Hörsaalzentrum Ost (HZO)

  • Largest lecture hall (HZO 10): 1,420 euros
  • Nine other lecture halls for 83 - 579 people, priced between 205 euros and 980 euros
