How to get to us

Our department has its offices on the second floor of the student services building (Studierendenhaus), rooms 1/176 to 1/199. You can find out how to reach us here.

From Campus

You enter the foyer of the Studierendenhaus through the automatic door under the sign “SH – Studierendenhaus”
From here, take the passageway diagonally to the right to reach a stairwell of the Studierendenhaus.
Once on the second floor, keep to the left and follow the signs to the rooms of the department as well as the seminar rooms SH 1/187, SH 1/197 and SH 1/198.
Our office is located in room SH 1/191.

Arrival from Bochum main station by public transport

(Travel time: just under 10 minutes)

From Bochum main station, take the U35 in the direction of Hustadt and get off at the “Ruhr-Universität” stop.
At the stop you first have to take the stairs or the elevator to the Dr.-Gerhard-Petschelt pedestrian bridge.
Here you turn right in the direction of the university. You will pass the Musische on your right, behind which is the Studierendenhaus.
From here, follow the instructions above “From Campus”.

Directions from Universitätsstraße by car

Leave the Universitätsstraße at the exit “Uni Mitte/Besucherparkplatz”.
Stay in the left lane and turn left after the yellow Infopunkt “Uni Mitte” to the visitors' parking lot.
The barrier will be opened for you when you register your appointment at the barrier in the Administrative Department of Organizational and Professional Development
Take the yellow elevator across from the visitor parking lot to the top – the Studierendenhaus will appear behind you.
