Round Table for Inclusion

The Round Table for Inclusion is a committee established by the Inclusion Strategy for Studies and Teaching, which networks RUB stakeholders who are committed to improving the study situation of students with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses. The Round Table is also the first advisory body for submitting applications to improve inclusion and, if necessary, can provide funding from the Inclusive University funding program.

Proposals to improve study conditions

The Round Table for Inclusion is the right body if you would like to submit ideas in the form of changes to administrative procedures, the provision of information in studies and teaching, barrier-free equipment or, for example, centrally available resources. If it concerns new permanent offers, measures or projects that require funding, an application can be funded from the Inclusive University funding program, provided that the aim of the measure is to improve study conditions and the project is completed by the end of 2026. Approximately €50,000 per year is available for applications of this type.

Advice and application documents

You will receive the application documents after an initial consultation with the project coordinator of the funding program (see Contact). During the consultation, the necessary content will be explained to you, which can be compiled step by step. In addition, you will be put in touch with relevant stakeholders before submitting your application in order to better understand the framework conditions and any work that has already been carried out.

Applications can be submitted at any time and are continuously discussed by the members of the round table in a digital consultation process. Queries to the person submitting the application will be arranged by the project coordinator. It may be necessary for the applicant to present the application in person at a meeting of the Round Table for Inclusion. If the application is not unanimously rejected, the application is passed on to the Diversity Commission in the form of a draft resolution including a compilation of the opinions of the members of the Inclusion Round Table, where it is then voted on and, if the vote is positive, passed on to the Rectorate for final approval.
