Commission for Planning, Structure and Finance

In accordance with Art. 12 Para. 2 of the Constitution of Ruhr University Bochum, the Senate, in agreement with the Rectorate, determines the scope of responsibilities of the Commission for Planning, Structure and Finance in the Senate's rules of procedure immediately after the election of a new Rectorate.

Meeting Dates

The meetings of the Commission for Planning, Structure and Finance usually take place 2 to 3 times per semester by prior arrangement and are not open to the public.

Summer semester 2026:

  • Tuesday, 14.04.2026 Start: 2 p.m.
  • Monday, 08.06.2026 Start: 2 p.m.
  • Monday, 06.07.2026 Start: 2 p.m.

Applications to the Commission

The faculties can submit applications that fall within the remit of the committee. Applications must be submitted to Prof. Dr. Achim von Keudell at least 2 weeks before a meeting date. Depending on the fullness of the agenda, the Vice-Rector decides on the time of the meeting.

Members of the Commission for Planning, Structure and Finance

The members are elected and dismissed separately by the Senate in groups. Their term of office is three years, that of the student members one year. The chair is held by the Vice Rector (without voting rights) responsible for the area of responsibility.
