Family Rooms at Ruhr University Bochum

To use most of the family rooms, you must register once with the Family-Friendly University. Please send the completed registration form to familienraum@ruhr-uni-bochum.de.

All family rooms are equipped with facilities for warming baby food. If needed, we can also provide a refrigerator and/or a microwave.

Parent-Child Office

A workspace and a small play area all in one—perfect for when you need to bring your child to Ruhr University Bochum because you couldn’t arrange childcare at the last minute. While the little ones keep themselves busy in the play area, parents can get a little work done. The room features shelves with a variety of toys, books, and puzzles.

Breastfeeding and Diaper-Changing Room

Breastfeeding and diaper changes on a sturdy changing table are available here in a separate room. A spacious sofa offers a comfortable place to sit or lie down. The rooms are therefore also well-suited for pregnant women.

Breastfeeding Room

Depending on the size of the room, you can rest or breastfeed here on a spacious sofa or a comfortable armchair. Children will also find things to keep them occupied, such as toys, books, and puzzles. A changing table is located near the breastfeeding room.
