Financial Management Department

Third-Party Funding and Customs

The division is responsible for the administration of third-party and special funds as well as the processing of all customs-related transactions.

Core Tasks

The division is divided into four specialist areas, which are responsible for the financial processing of third-party funded projects in the sovereign area, for allocations and grants in the area of program and special funds of the state (e.g. ZSL and QVM) as well as for all customs-related processes in the area of import and export.

We would be happy to advise you on the following topics, among others:

  • Financial processing of third-party funded projects (e.g. DFG, EFRE, EU, BMBF or private third parties) in the sovereign area (no economic activity)
  • Setting up financial centers and allocating funds for ZSL ("Zukunftsvertrag Studium und Lehre stärken") and quality improvement funds
  • Special funds management: financial processing of digitization projects, equality funds and large equipment
  • Customs matters (import and export)
  • Taking research equipment to foreign assignments
