Family-Friendly University
Vacation Offers
Parents don't have as many vacation days as their children have school breaks. That's why the Family-Friendly University Office regularly offers a vacation program for schoolchildren between the ages of six and twelve.
This program is intended for working and student parents at Ruhr University Bochum.
Program
The RUB Family Service organizes games, fun, and sports on campus. Meals are also provided: there’s breakfast to start the day, a group lunch in the cafeteria, as well as fruit and drinks. Field trips round out the program.
If there is sufficient interest, groups will be organized by age.
Timeframe
The vacation care program takes place during the first week of the Easter and fall breaks and during the first three weeks of the summer break, Monday through Friday. You can sign up for all three weeks, two weeks, or just one week.
Parent Fee
The parent fee ranges from 60 to 90 euros per child per week, depending on family income. Additional costs for admission or transportation may apply during field trips.
