RUB Mobile

The "RUB mobile" app provides a wide range of services and information for RUB members on one platform.

Current functions

The following functions are available with the first release:

  • Current canteen plan
  • News
  • Course catalog
  • Primo catalog of the university library
  • Job offers
  • Moodle
  • Offers of the ASTA
  • University sports offers
  • Offers from CT das Radio
  • extensive collection of links to information for students
  • Links to maps and plans (e.g. for wheelchair users) are provided on the RUB website
  • Bilingualism (German/English)
  • Access to RUBWebmail and RUBExchange
  • Collection of information on the barrier-free campus and the external properties

Outlook for future functions

Among other things, the following functions are planned for the coming months:

  • Integration of the semester ticket
  • Digital student ID card
  • Site plans and maps

About RUB mobile

The campus app "RUB mobile" is a platform that provides a wide range of services and information for RUB members under one roof.

the current version of "RUB mobile" with its new technical basis is based on the framework of universe.nrw, a joint development of universities from NRW. The cooperation project is a development by universities for universities: a constantly growing common pool of ideas, which can be freely accessed by all participating universities, creates strong synergies and bundles competencies and resources. The high level of participation makes the project particularly attractive.

Against this background, there are concrete short, medium and long-term development plans for RUB mobile for the gradual expansion of the app functions in the coming months and years.
