Getting to Know Ruhr University Bochum
Ruhr University Bochum is much more than just concrete: our campus tour takes you on a journey through the “harbor in the sea of knowledge”.
During the guided campus tour, you will learn everything you need to know about the history and origins of the first university in the Ruhr area, about the current structure and modernization of the campus, the comprehensive range of degree courses and the main areas of research. We will also take a look inside the Audimax with its Klais organ – the largest concert hall organ in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The tour can be combined with other offers on campus, for example with tours of the Botanic Garden, the University Library or the Art Collections. The Campus Service will be happy to help you plan an exciting program.
1 to 2 hours.
Mondays to Sundays by appointment.
5 to 15 persons. In case of a larger group, it is possible to customize the tour.
English or German. Other languages on request.
Campus tours are free of charge.
In case of very bad weather (heavy rain, thunderstorms, storms) the guided tour must unfortunately be canceled. The Campus Service will then reschedule the date with you.
