PREAMBLE AND USE
Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) defines itself as a cosmopolitan institution that guarantees the religious freedom of all university members and promotes an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation. RUB explicitly recognizes the religious and ideological diversity of its members. The Room of Silence is committed to this mission statement.
(1) The Room of Silence is open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (during the semester)/9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (during the semester break) to all university members who are looking for peace and relaxation, who wish to meditate or pray. Quiet whispering is only permitted if other visitors to the Room of Silence are not disturbed by it.
(4) Otherwise, the house rules of Ruhr University Bochum and the AKAFÖ apply.
