Welcome to the
Established in 1995, the University Archive preserves and records Ruhr University Bochum’s (RUB) vast historic records since the institution’s origins in the early 1960’s. On the following pages we provide information on our work, the archival holdings and in-house service for the administration. In addition, we inform about the history of RUB as well as the current university and state-wide digitalization processes the University Archive is involved in.

Accessible routes to the University Archive (PDF, German)
The University Archive is located on level 4 in the building MB on campus. The building is wheelchair accessible via the central entrance (glass elevator). The north and south entrances and elevators are level access as well, although the entrance doors do not open automatically. The building provides wheelchair accessible restrooms (door width: 93 cm) on level 4 next to the north and south eleveators.
