Division 2: University Development and Committees
Division 2: University Development and Committees supports faculties and institutions as well as the university management in strategic development and coordinates and supports the Ruhr University's central committees.
University Development
In University Development, the division's team supports Ruhr-University's faculties and institutions in networking, development and structuring projects. It provides support in questions of organizational structure and corporate law issues.
On behalf of the Rectorate, the division coordinates overarching change processes, for example through campus-wide projects. Current projects include the European University consortium UNIC (The European University of Post-Industrial Cities) and the development of campus-wide programs in the areas of entrepreneurship education and data literacy.
The team supports the development and implementation of the university development plan as well as the development of target and perspective agreements and their monitoring. It supports campus-wide financial planning by developing models for the internal allocation of funds.

Committees
The University Development and Committees division coordinates and supports the work of the central university committees (University Council, Senate, Faculty Conference, University Commissions and Equal Opportunities Commission). The team also supports the elections to the university's central committees (Senate, Faculty Councils), to the DFG review boards and assists with the student parliament elections.
